We are always in need of people who can help by volunteering for Age Concern Jersey. There are a number of volunteering opportunities, including:
Our charity shop at Windsor House is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. We are always looking for volunteers to help in the shop. If you would like to join our fantastic team of helpers please call our office manager on 758922 or complete the volunteer form at the bottom of this page and send it to our office in Val Plaisant and we will contact you.
DRIVERS NEEDED – CAN YOU HELP?
We offer a free transport service to and from Windsor House and our Tuesday Club at St Thomas’s. We also offer drives around Jersey’s beautiful countryside, visits to garden centres and to the beach for elderly Jersey residents who otherwise wouldn’t be able to get out of their homes for fresh air and company. To do this we need to build a pool of drivers to help drive our three Age Concern Jersey minibuses. Drivers need to be eligible to drive a 16 seater minibus (and over 21 and under 70 years old). Please contact our Office Manager on 758922 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to help.
On Monday and Thursday each week, our team of volunteer drivers deliver frozen meals to our clients across the Island. Volunteers drive a small refrigeration van which requires a standard driving licence. We are also always on the look out for volunteers to help serve and wash-up at Windsor House for our lovely elderly clients who come to Age Concern for our lunchtime meals service. If you’d like to help, either driving or helping, please give our Office Manager a call on 758922 or email email@example.com.
